A facelift incision begins in the hairline of the temple area, continues down inside to the front hole on your ear and is carried around to the earlobe along the back of the hairline . During your facelift consultation, Dr. Kay will show you where your incisions will be placed, because he individualizes his facelift to give you a natural, younger refreshed look.
Can you combine fat grafts with your facelift?
Dr. Kay usually will combine the Fat Graft Injection in conjunction with his facelift to rejuvenate your overall, refreshed younger appearance. Dr. Kay will discuss his recommendation during your consultation.
Does a Facelift help correct a sagging neck?
The incision for a facelift can extend behind the ears toward the hairline, so the extra skin is removed to give you a smoother, natural looking neck. If you are a candidate for the Thermage (Non-invasive lifting procedure) this will be reviewed during your consultation with Dr. Kay.
What kind of anesthesia is used for a full facelift?
A facelift is performed under General Anesthesia, which means you will be asleep throughout the procedure. Dr. Kay will discuss during your consultation the options for anesthesia for your facelift.
What is the recovery time for a facelift?
You should plan on returning to work within 10 days to 2 weeks after the procedure. Each patient will have an individualized recovery depending on other procedures that may be combined with the facelift procedure. Dr. Kay will review your recovery options for your facelift during the one on one consultation.
