Breast Implants Or Fat Grafts To The Breasts: Which Is A Better Fit For Me, Or Are They Both A Good Fit?

After weight loss, pregnancy, breast feeding or the fact that you are aging; women every year are turning to change the shape and overall appearance of their breasts. There are lots of options in 2017, so here are some quick tips to remember before you choose how to look great in that bathing suit this summer.

Breast Implants

Breast Implants or Breast Augmentation is a procedure to enlarge and change the shape. After pregnancy and nursing some women experience one or two cup sizes smaller than their pre-pregnancy self.

Fat Grafting to the Breasts

Fat grafting can create a more pleasing result with not just enhancing your breast size, but by improving your contour and symmetry of the breasts. It is common to combine fat grafting to the breast with a breast augmentation to the upper part of the breasts to create soft, natural contours.

Neither implants nor fat grafting alone improves sagging or drooping skin; this is achieved by a breast lift. Very commonly, some woman may benefit from a combination breast augmentation, breast lift and fat grafting to the breasts to achieve the best results.

Fat Grafting

Fat grafting, often referred to as lipografting, is increasingly popular today. It can be done as a single procedure or combined with a breast augmentation with implants, breast lift, or breast reconstruction. This non-surgical treatment takes living fat cells from a place you can spare it: typically, the trunk and/or legs. The fat is sterilely purified and concentrated. Then it is gently injected where contour or volume improvements are needed. For modest increases in breast size, fat injection alone, without a breast implant, can create the desired volume.

Fat grafting to the breast is usually done in stages with an initial procedure and possibly a secondary procedure to address correct fullness. Numerous scientific studies prove that fat grafting to the breast does not increase the risk of breast cancer.
